Redwood High School Foundation Annual Campaign
 

Each year the RHSF asks parents to make a tax-deductible contribution to help improve the quality of our children’s education. Your gift enhances Redwood’s ability to meet our high expectations for a well-rounded secondary education. State funding and local property taxes simply do not fund the kind of education we desire for our children. Today, more than ever, Redwood is dependent on outside sources of funds to continue to provide the highest quality education to our students.

Our goal, this year is to raise a minimum of $700,000. In order to accomplish this goal, we are asking families to donate $1,000 per student, consistent with the level of support we provided our children’s elementary and middle school programs. We sincerely hope more families will participate in this year’s campaign, as Redwood’s participation levels remain well below those of our K-8 schools. The needs at Redwood are just as important! In the past four years, the Foundation has contributed over $2.3 million dollars to improving Redwood’s facilities and its programs. That’s impressive! Your contribution makes a real difference in the quality of educational opportunities available for our teachers and coaches to do their jobs.

Other Ways to Give

Stock Donations
The benefits of giving appreciated securities are significant. Your tax-deductible donation is based on the fair market value of the security at the time of donation, if you’ve owned the stock for one year or more. By donating the security rather than selling it, you avoid potential capital gains taxes. eScrip
Sign up for this great program! Each time you make a purchase at one of the participating merchants, or order online, a percentage of your total is donated to Redwood. By registering your ATM or credit card with eScrip Inc., these merchants contribute a percentage of your purchase directly to us, electronically, with very little effort from you!

Corporate Matching Gifts
Last year Corporate Matching Gift Programs contributed over $77,000 to RHSF. Many companies will match your contribution, often up to 100% of your gift!
